Did you knew that police aren't legally obligated to protec you?

Without even thinkyng about it, we take it as a given that the police must protect us. That's their whole reason for existence,right. Well while this might be true in a few jurisdictions in the US and Canada, it is aactually the exception,not the rule. In general, court decision and state law have held that the cops don't have to do a damm thing to help you when you're in danger.

this could be true..but how many doughnut shops get robbed a year? not many..too many police?

I never knew this. is it only by rule in Us and canada or in other countries also? i always thought they are to protect us when we are in trouble. what is the real work they are for if not protecting us?
