its a lie to me , why cant people figure that out ?why do people place so much moneny into tickets that they know they have a slight chance of winning , and do you really "Win" because half of the winners waste it all away and never invest into something to make more money , and why would someone quit their job? thats more money that they bring in ..maybe its my way of thinking what do you think ?

winning a lottery is one winning in a million tickets. Don't think about it at all.

A slight of chance of wining is better than none. They are buying that slight chance and a little hope.

yeah i totally agree with that , little hope indeed , but what dont get is if you win how come you dont save at least half of it? or continue working i mean dont get me wrong if someone is near or on retirement and they win the lottery than yes use the money but if your not than save at least the majority and continue or at least invest in a buisness and continue to make more money ..

Because it is a risk and you just never know . It is all about luck and I am not a lucky person . I have known people who have hit a daily number and won $500 ,but also they put much in daily for it . I like to play a few times a month , but so far nothing. I think if i would hit it real big my fiance wont stop his job and invest in something he loves . I have seen too many rich people win on the news and blow right through it.

If somebody wins every now and then, and he won out of pure luck ... why can't that somebody be me? :D I think it's all in the frame of mind. When I feel like betting on the lottery, then I choose the Lucky Pick - so everything is as random as I can. If I win, then it's pure luck :D Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

I wouldn't win if the chances were 50/50..lol..much less with the actual chance there is. If I did I would invest it or do something worthwhile.I am glad the money from the lottery earning here goes to scholarships and schools. At least if I buy a ticket it's helping someone go to school that otherwise couldn't afford it.

Hope. That's the word. People are buying the hope. You know how terrible life is and without hope (of striking rich), what is there to live for? The lottery is not a scam. It is just that it is quite hard to win. But the fact remains that some people do get lucky and win. And so, people buy lottery tickets because they need hope, to win, to survive, to live on.
