Are you part of a LOTTO club at work?

I started a lotto club at my work (missed out on the mega millions $270 million prize) and have a group of almost 50 people! Does anyone else do this? Have you won anything (besides $2-$3)? Having this number of people gives us more chances to win but more ways to divide the cash. Any ideas to get more leverage on winning?

Trust can be a big issue and sometimes I think: these people trust me with all this money to make sure I get the tickets? I did start emailing everyone with a list of who is playing just so there is a record. And I also photocopy the tickets and cancel tags the next day and post them. When the mega millions was up to $270 million I was handed $87 (mostly in ones) to get the numbers for the group. If we would have won I would have been making phone calls all night. If it were you and your group won...would you be tempted to keep the cash and say it was bought on your own ticket? It would have been $7 after the split with the group.

I was thinking on the same lines. The devil would be there tempting me but then I would think what a blessing $7 Million would be! And the amount of other people who truely be affected. The idea that I was the one that orchestrated the club would really mean alot to be by itself! The pic you have makes me think you may have some connection to the military. Any story there?

No I wouldnt be tempted to take the money. I believe deeply in charma and probably couldnt sleep at night knowing I did someone wrong, or spend my life looking over my shoulders.

We dont have that lotto club here, but I think it is a good idea. Sharing on bets and winning. In our place there are those bookies who accepts bets on 3 numbers of the 6 lotto numbers. If you get the 3 numbers correct you get your winnings. I also believe that there are some riggings done on result of the lotto. I sometimes buy also lotto tickets but for me its one in a million luck. Hopefully I will be able to win one of the major jackpots here. I will inform you and give you some bonus if I win.

I think too much in my own little world sometimes and forget the lotto isn't a world thing! I would be pretty cool to win the lotto just the same. A person in Georgia (USA) won $270 million all to himself last month! That would really change life a bit! Looks like you are from the Phillipines! How cool! What do you do for a living there? It must be a bit warmer there since you are closer to the Equator than I am (snowy, it may get up to 45 F today). What is your country's view of America in Iraq? Would love to hear things from a different point of view!

I'm not part of a lotto club, but I've seen them before. Where I worked, they won a couple hundred dollars and it turned into a huge argument when it came time to split up the money. I think they didn't keep very good records, so make sure you have everything detailed in writing.

I am so glad you responded because I am the one who is leading the whole lotto operation at my work. After reading you message I thought...I better send a list out of who is all playing! That way everyone knows whoes on first. Good thing too, there was a mixup and I had spelled someone's name wrong! Man, was she mad...she thought I didn't put her on the list at all! The most we won was $10. Trust can be a big issue. I guess these people trust me enough with the cash. What would you do if you won a million $$?
