Pros: The script is emotional and makes a splendid movie out of one day in detention. Cons: Maybe that its from the eighties.. but naw.. not really.. Whut I Thunk: It almost seems redundant to place any words here, for "Breakfast Club" is already hailed by many others as a perfect specimen of a movie. Yet, I write this now, only to make it known that yes, indeed, I as well very much value B.C. as being a superb film. In the best of ways Breakfast Club captures the very essence of high school in its script. The confrontations that the characters have, are on target with the type of conflict that occur in school. It is solid in dramatic content but is furious in its comedic portions. I loved Judd Nelson in this... he was truly.. Bad A$$. All the other characters were splendid as well. Breakfast Club is a story of teen difficulties and shows the different types of turmoil that teens can go thru.. Now content wise.. this movie is filled with profanity and also much sexuality.. so if you don't like that kind of stuff, keep away... but let me tell you that the fact that it holds that language is proof of reality.. high school is filled with that and many other realistic stuff that this film shows..

The Breakfast Club is a great film but it isn't a " teen comedy" It is a teen drama with comedy mixed in.When I think of the phrase "teen comedy" I think of those crazy T and A films like Animal House and Porkys and American Pie. The Breakfast club is deeper than that.

I *love* The Breakfast Club. I don't know if it's the perfect teen film, but it is a film I can watch over and over. And, I did think Judd Nelson was particularly good in it.

I love the Breakfast Club!! but do I think its the "perfect" teen movie?? No not really...but its a great movie none the less much like several others that came out at that time.. Fast Times at Ridgemont High is also one of my favs along with Pretty in Pink Porky's Ferris Buellers Day Off Weird Science Risky Business just to name a few....they were really great for me because I was a teen in the 80s so I could relate to alot of it on so many levels...I still love them because they continue to make me laugh like crazy :-D
