I don't honestly remember. I know that I've cooked simple things -- biscuits, cinnamon toast, eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, etc.. I don't remember which one was first, however.

I think the first thing I learned to cook was cinnamon rolls from scratch believe it or not. My stepmother, bless her heart, could not cook. If she put a piece of meat on your plate it was still wagging its tail and I wasn't going for it. I told her she was fired and that I would do the cooking from that point on and I did. I quickly learned how to cook all kinds of meals for a family of 8.

Being the oldest daughter, I learned to cook during my elementary days. I remember I would cook rice and fried fish in the morning for our breakfast. I later learned to cook vegetable dishes and meat.

Does toast count? I don't actually remember the first thing I learned how to cook. My niece wants me to teach her how to make mac and cheese next time I am up visiting.

Probably grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. I also learned how to cook on the grill when I was young. I remember cooking hot dogs and cheeseburgers on the grill. I thought that was pretty cool, because I was outside cooking while my siblings were in the house watching out the window...lol

First meal thrown at the wall! - spaghetti and meatballs
The first thing I learned to cook was spaghetti and meatballs and it was for my new husband for our first meal after our honeymoon. Guess what? He threw it at the wall after one forkful! lol....something I'll never forget!
