Hmmm I sit here partly seething, you can guess by the look of wolfie's face that today didn't go well. Why am I sooooooooooo jinxed with doctors? Why Why Why? Is it soooooooooo hard to find one with an ounce of compassion, someone who listens, who cares? I thought a doctors role was to care about their patients WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! As you know I went to see another doctor today, a lady one this time, my appointment was at 11.20, she didn't call me in till 12pm! 40 minutes NO APOLOGY! I get vibes about people pretty quick and my intuition about people hardly ever lets me down! She starts questioning the list in my hand, what's that she snaps? It was a list of things I had to ask her I ask her if she's got the letter from the clinic about my urodynamics test and then she starts looking something else up, I had to tell her she was looking at the wrong thing on the computer! She was actually looking at letters that had been sent to me back in 2006! I was holding my temper, I really was, with regards to the CFS she says it's down to depression and she can't tell me if the last doctor was right or not giving me antidepressants Then she says don't be so anxious Er EXCUSE ME! If you've been in abusive relationship for 9 years then you'd be bl**dy anxious! But did she care NO Told me to take the antidepressants and said all her other patients don't complain of any side affects Her attitude STANK and I came out feeling so angry and upset So I took their flaming antidepressants I hope I do get a nasty side affect from them to prove them wrong, cold, arrogant jumped up XX*X*X**X*X* Wolfie is not happy The only good news is that the people from the medical haven't asked them for a report on me, so they can't put their poison in. Then I went out and treated myself to a new mobile phone. So are you jinxed or are you a jonah, a pariah, care to share any experiences I am being too sensitive? I did have a wonderful doctor when I was first diagnozed with depression he was such a lovely man, one of life's gentlemen and always shook me hand he went the extra mile for me he even agreed to see me even though I was out of his catchment area, such a gentleman that he was Then my ex opened his big fat gob and that doctor was forced to refer me elsewhere

Oh wolfie my darling I am so angry right now if I could get hold of this so called dr i would ring her scrawny neck for her! How dare she be so horrid to you! I advised wee to take a list to her dr with her as she was quite anxious at the time and her dr was more than happy for her to go through it and indeed decided just to give her an mot while she was there! I have been lucky with my gps - the consultant who failed to get me my mri was a different matter -and i so wish you could have a gp like the one you had to leave! If I were you I would speak to local people and find out which practise has drs who deserve to be called such and register with them! I was glad to get the text by the way and your no is in my phone now - I just edited it as I hadn't got rid of your old one yet! lol Talk about slow! xxx

The doctor I saw at the medical yesterday was a different kettle of fish, he was very sympathetic wish he was my GP, typical eh, but we both have a good feeling about yesterday, I just have to wait for the post now to find out if I get it or not, but I can't do nothing more. Oh and I got a date for counseling, 4th March long term xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There was an article in todays paper about GP's getting yet ANOTHER rise! I know they do 52 hour weeks but some of them like the two GPs I saw don't deserve it xxxx

I can tell you are severely p!ssed off and I don't blame you. I had the same thing happen to me sort of. I had had this problem for ever such a long time. I'd had x-rays, been on diets, had blood tests, overnight stays in hospital, and different ultra sounds. I was diagnosed as menopausal, lactose intolerant, depressed, - everything in fact except the correct diagnosis. Not wanting the new doctor to think I was a ninny, I wrote a history of my strange malady, including symptoms, times, diet, medications, former diagnoses. He was quite offended that I did this when I was simply trying to make things easy for him and to show him that I was serious and responsible about my health. Anyway, his problem. I told this bloke what I thought was wrong and it turned out I was right...seven years I'd had this problem and no-one could tell me what it was. I had a hernia...the sort that men get and by then, it was pretty serious. Anyway, I just want you to know that I know just how frustrated and angry you feel. It beats me how a doctor can be so nasty and arrogant. I thought they were supposed to be kind and compassionate. Keep your chin up and don't give up. Look up your symptoms and see if you can figure out for yourself what's wrong. There are a couple of nurses here on myLOT who might be able to help you. Hugs to you dear one. xx

Maybe you could return to your old doctor. I am lucky that I have always been with doctors who have excellent bedside manners and are ever so considerate. I would never return to doctors whom I am not comfortable with.

I am sorry that it did not go well. I would give the doctor that you liked a call. Maybe he could take you back. Or if he can't, maybe he knows of a another doctor that will treat you right.

I am very fortunite that I have a good doctor. She spends time with each of her patients and doesn't over book her appointments. She only books them for every half hour so that she isn't rushed through them and can talk to them about what ever it is the patient wants to talk about. She checks me thoroughly each time I go to se her, my blood pressure, my ears, my throat. Whatever I am complaining about she listens and then checks and never says it's no big deal when I have a problem. When it is something she doesn't have the complete knowledge about she sends me to a specialist.
