Glitter Face

I went to the casino the other day, walked all over the place, played different machines and talked to several people. Wasn't there long but when I came home I had glitter above my mouth and on one hand. Nobody said a word and there were plenty of employees working that day that I knew. I am a frequent hand washer so this shouldn't have happened and I didn't handle any greeting cards at home before I left the house. Still don't know how this happened but looking back, it was funny. Have you had this happen to you and did anyone tell you that you had a glitter face?

I was trying on holiday dresses at Macy's back in November. I must have tried on 10 that had some kind of sparkly something on them and I saw that it was on my hands but never thought that it could have transferred to my face and hair. I left Macys and shopped 6 other stores in about 3 hours then met my friend for coffee. It wasn't until I got home and went to the bathroom did I see that I looked like I got attacked by the glitter fairy. It was in my hair, on my face, especially the tip of my nose, which I will never understand. I called my friend and asked her why she didn't say anything about me looking like one of my kids kindergarten art projects and she said she thought I was just trying out a new make up. lol

Do you laugh or just play it off as if nothing was on his face? Cute story. Thanks for responding.

Oh, I hope this is allowed, but this reminds me of a joke I heard years ago - fairly clean I think...Enjoy! Whit I was due later that week for an appointment with the gynecologist when early one morning I received a call from his office: I had been rescheduled for early that morning at 9:30am. I had just packed everyone off to work and school and it was around 8:45 already. The trip to his office usually took about 35 minutes so I didn't have any time to spare. As most women do, I'm sure, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the full effort. So I rushed upstairs, threw off my dressing gown, wet the washcloth and gave myself a wash in "that area" in front of the sink, taking extra care to make sure that I was presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment. I was in the waiting room only a few minutes when he called me in. Knowing the procedure, as I am sure you all do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended I was in Hawaii or some other place a million miles away from here. I was a little surprised when he said:"My...we have taken a little extra effort this morning, haven't we?" but I didn't respond. The appointment over, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of the day went normal, some shopping, cleaning and the evening meal, etc. At 8:30 that evening my 14 year old daughter was fixing to go to a school dance, when she called down from the bathroom, "Mom - where's my washcloth?" I called back for her to get another from the cabinet. She called back, "No - I need the one that was here by the sink. It had all my glitter and sparkles in it."

Well did you use any of the casino money? Usually when there is glitter on money it sometimes comes from strippers who use glitter in various parts of their bodies. When I went to Las Vegas with my daughters they reminded me of this and under no circumstance to lick my fingers to get the money seperated! Some people do wear glittery eye shadow....so if anyone saw you they might have just thought you had make up that shimmers!

I never thought of that. You bring up a good point because I didn't have glitter on my face when I left home. Yes, I cashed a check so the money came from the casino and the person who cashed it was older so she didn't have any glitter on her face. I never lick my fingers for anything but you are right again. Thanks for responding.

Because I'm a demonstrator for a company, I check my face in a mirror often. I use a table cloth. I had one table cloth and asked my Regional rep for another. The one he gave me is covered with glitter, must have been a Christmas sales promotion? so I have to watch out for that. Maybe glitter was on one of the tables or on some of the chairs for some kind of celebration or promotion? They probably cleaned most of it and you got the rest. No, I haven't been called a glitter face. Take care

This happened at a casino and I noticed it on one hand after I had been playing for awhile..lol Got home and noticed it just below my nose. I also work where I deal with the public at a snackbar. It's a fun job and need to make sure my appearance is good. Glitter on my nose while selling a hotdog probably wouldn't be a good idea..lol Thanks for responding.
