Is Minnesota showing us what will happen when the Democratics take control of both houses of government? They passed a 6.6 Billion Dollar tax increase over ten years to fund mass transit - mainly light rail. The tax increase comes in higher gas taxes, vehicle registration fees and sales tax. For a party that claims to be for the little guy these taxes hit the poor and middle class the hardest. The funds are to help expand the light rail system that is only able to generate 25% of the operating costs and has to be subsized 75% by the state.
This is only the first part of the budget process they still plan to provide some from of Health Insurance to everyone at tax payer expense. Is this what will happen if the Democratics get elected. Rep Rangle has already proposed a 3 trillion tax increase package to fund National Health Insurance among other things. As a country can we afford this type of taxing and spending?

Well, I am from Washington State, and we have a lot of the same issues on Taxes, etc. as you have, and the Governor that started all of this here was a Republican, so you cannot blame it all on the Democrats. I feel that this can go either way with either President, but in my oppinion, the Republicans do not care about Health Care for the American public, otherwise the Premiums themselves everywhere would not have become so rediculous in the 8 yrs. that Bush has been in office either. So I think you cannot blame this totally on a Democrat.
