Career choice?

The atmosphere is of very tough competition. Population explosion is definitely a worry for every country. Of course there are a lot of job opportunities available, but what to choose. Almost all are qualified. For example, I am qualified psychiatrist. I chose my way. But there are not enough exposure to it in my hometown. I need to go to metros. Do I go to a metro for the sake of a job leaving all my family and village? Same problem forced me to choose a job in a local college as a lecturer for degree students. Though the salary is less, I am happy. I am also pursuing my profession.
