do you think the ghost hunters will ever capture a real ghost on camera?

I thought they did already....there was one in a lighthouse I recall and a couple in different prisons or institutes. Don't you just love that show?...I do, it's so much fun to watch and the guys are great. Thanks for reminding me, it's on tonight where I live, yea!

It makes excellent TV, of course, but please don't forget that they shoot hours of film and that the main aim of the program is to entertain and to show positive results. You have to remember that most 'ghost hunters' spend many hours and get nothing! (You never hear about that, though. In this case, 'no news' is 'bad news'!)

This is the only show I'm not skeptical about, I've been watching it for a very long time. They are not trying to prove there are ghosts, they are trying to prove to the people that contact them, that what they are hearing and seeing are not ghosts, but a logical explanation. This is what I like about the show.

The lighthouse and the prison and the crazy bin was all good ones. At the prison that dark clocked figure that was running that was good. At the crazy bin that half figure they caught on the thermole camara running across the hallway or room. Was it the prison or the crazy bin of when that camara crew guy got hit or pushed by something?

I want to say it was the insane asylum, but don't hold me to that. It's been so long since I've seen it that I'm fuzzy on all of the details. I do remember the cameraman being shoved, though.

No I don't believe that this can ever happen because ghosts are not a physical manifestation. A ghost (by definition) is spirit and therefore cannot be seen in the same way that we see physical objects (by light reflecting off them). What we experience, I believe, is a direct influence on our brain or nervous system which has the same effect on us as messages coming from the optic nerve (or, indeed, from other senses). These are not real (as in, external) effects, so a camera could never register them. I have seen many photographs (and I have heard some recordings) which purport to be of 'ghosts'. In every case that I have seen so far, I have been able to offer a logical and much more likely alternative physical explanation for the photo, though I am still open to the possibility that 'spirit' could directly manipulate the chemistry or electromagnetic properties of film or recording tape to give the appearance of a physical presence in the same way that I believe that our nervous system is manipulated. In the end, NOTHING can be 'real evidence' until one understands exactly what one is experiencing and in what way it is manifesting itself. This means not that I don't believe in ghosts: it means that I don't believe that people's experiences are necessarily exactly what they think (or assume) they are.

I could be wrong here but I think the difference we are getting at here is the shadow figure of a ghost which has been caught many times, to a ghost appearing before you looking just like you and me. I think it could be caught but what I wonder is if maybe only those who are intouch with ghosts and things like that can see them. I don't know it is definatly very confusing sometimes but oh so interesting at the same.

They have caught several on camera. Nothing right in front of the camera but, off to the side or in the distance. There was that one with a man that looked sort of like was wearing a uniform of some sort. It was like a shadow on a wall but, was definitely some supernatural existence. That was one of my favorites! Show chilling! I love Ghost Hunters. It is one of my favorite shows!

Did anyone see the episode where they put a camera in an attic, and the camera filmed a chair moving across the floor by itself? That freaked me out, big time. Another episode showed them in an old prison, and something--I don't remember what it was, it might have been a brick--flew right out of the cell toward them. It was so cool.
