Why does so many people drown in the Allegheny River in pgh pa/for all pgh nativ

For all you Pittsburgh,pa natives have you ever thought and wonder why so many people drown in that Allegheny River? I'am a Pittsburgh,pa native for 40yrs and moved to the west coast in 2004 and still read about all the drowning in the ALLEGHENY,so many people has drown in my forty yrs of living there.I wonder if the media has all the footage of all the drowning?

I live in Pittsburgh and I didn't know there were a lot of drownings. I have only been here four years though.
