How do you get your 8 glasses of water a day??

After reading a very interesting article from the February Reader's Digest, I am just wondering how you get your water. My husband prefers that I buy him bottled water for him to drink when he is thirsty AND we have a filter on our faucet. I think this is a waste because of all the bottles. The article also mentioned that it takes a lot of water to make plastic bottles. I mentioned this to him and he said that most plastic companies recycle the water that they use. I personally refill a BIG water cup that I try and carry around all day with me. My youngest takes filtered tap water in a reuseable water bottle every day.

I drink so much water that I really do not keep track of how much, I know it is sufficient - and so long as I do not go through my entire gallon jug in the day I am pretty sure I won't get hydro toxicity. Water is my primary and preferred beverage.

Its not a problem to me. I drink a lot of water. I feel more alive doing it. It makes me feel dehydrated if I do not do that. I believe that it is healthy doing that. I guess its more than 8 glasses of water. 1 glass in the morning after breakfast. Before lunch I drink 2 glasses in order to make feel a little bit full. 2 glasses as I eat and after lunch. 2 glasses before dinner time, 2 glasses as I eat and after dinner. and 1 glass before going to bed.

I don't really count my glasses. Come spring/summer time I have a big water cup that I lug around. I find that I drink more water in the warmer months, don't know why.

Remember getting your 8 glasses of water a day is not literally 8 glasses of water a day. A lot of food that we eat has a large amount of water in them. Even a hamburger from a fast-food joint is 1/2 water (with lettuce/tomatoes etc...). So what is the exact amount of pure water that you need to drink... I don't know but you should not think that you need to go around drinking half a gallon of pure water a day. Thanks Zelo

A lot of the bottled water here in the US they are finding is just coming from public water and it has been filtered. Basically the same thing you get from your home tap water. I know the bottled water business is booming here in the states. Crazy if you ask me. I would prefer to use my money for other things. Now I don't mind buying the fruity water or fizzy water to drink, because Pur just hasn't gotten it the flavors we like. But if I just want regular water I use my filter.

I get my regular 8 glasses of water a day by just two cups after every meal and then drink one cup between my two snacks. So basically, my "eight" glasses of water is tap water, unless of course I eat out, then I buy bottled water. -Feel Free to Disagree!

Wow, that's great. I need to drink through a straw or a bottle to be able to drink all the water I need. I know it is all in my head but just sipping from a cup/glass I won't do it.

Yeah, drinking at least 8 glasses of water will keep you healthy. But I think it will be a burden for me to drink according to a mesurement. I just keep a sense in my mind that I should drink, then I drink much.
