Do you know any High School Sweet Hearts who got married and are still Happily Married? I had a few friends who were HSSH's and they are now Divorced. I also have a family member who is married to his High School girlfriend for about 15 yrs. now and there is not one time that he says anything nice about her and compares her to other women(if my wife was like her,etc.). I often wonder why they got married???

My cousin met her husband in grade 8 and although her dad was less than impressed that she didn't want to date anyone else they have been together ever since. That was in the 60's and they have never looked back.

Can I say me? My hubby and I married right out of high school. We are still married 12 years later, still totally in love, and we have five fabulous kids. :O)

There were high school sweethearts when i was in school. They were a few years older then me. As far as i know they are still happily married. They are still together atleast. They have 3 boys together. In a funny coincidence their youngest is in preschool with my oldest.

My parents were...they actually started dating when they were 13 and 14 years old. THey got married at 21 and 22. However, they are now in the middle of a divorce after 26 years of marriage. All I can say is, people change and you change a lot from the time that youre 14 to the time that youre almost 50. It's not a surprise when it doesn't work out.

My cousin had a boyfriend since when they're in high school and then after 11 years I guess, they got married and still happily married until today.

hi there, well, im engaged to my HSSH and we've been together for 7 years this Sept 2008. My opinion in this is that, i guess it works out because we've known each other long enough and that is a good foundation in a relationship where you accept everything including the flaws. Some separate probably because we are human and we have change of hearts. As time goes our needs change, our mind set change, and our goals in life change. If in that transition you and your partner clash and have opposite goals or desires well then you will end up divorcing. But couple stay together because in that time of change either both of you agrees mutually with the change or one partner compromises and supports the other with his/her decision and then vice versa.
