What is your choice of scenery when you travel?

I like to see white sand beaches and palm trees. I love to see a blue ocean and a coral reef under the water. I like to see native wildlife like dolphins, small sharks and sting rays. What sort of scenery do you like when you travel? Thanks

I definitely love the ocean and there are not many train services in the Uk that run directly parallel with the ocean, apart from Dorset that I have been on when the train goes past Dawlish and Teignmouth which is a wonderful route and journey. I think the ocean is wonderful and sadly I have never seen dolphins in their natural habitat. I don't think I would be brave enough to go snorkeling to see the wildlife or the coral reef. I also like wide open spaces when you can see for miles and miles and the sceneery is breathtaking.

I like the train route in North Wales. It goes along with so nice views of the ocean. There is also a line in Sussex that goes along the seashore for a nice stretch. When I lived in Kent I got a glimpse of the White Cliffs of Dover when I caught a train to Folkestone. I saw dolphins in Australia and New Zealand and it is a special experience. The first time I went snorkeling I held my friend's hand. The amazing coral and colorful fish of all different shapes and sizes delighted me. I like view points where you can be gorgeous countryside for miles around.

The reason I like Hawai'i so much is depending on where you are and how high you are, you can see just about everything. Of course there is the beach and the water on the big island... there is the waterfalls in Maui, and the rainforests, and the volcanoes... it is the most diverce place I have been to... St. Lucia would come in second but a far far off second. Thanks Zelo

I am much the same as you. I love scenery & wildlife. I particularly enjoy mountains, trees, the beaches & being on the ocean. Once, I went on a underwater tour. This is where we sit on a glass bottom boat & view what is underneath. I was on the Great Barrier Reef & you can imagine how stunning that was. My daughter was 7 years at the time, & she said in a very load voice... I can't see the Mermaid"...

I have to agree with you here max. However, although it's not scenery, I would like to add, I love meeting local people/villagers away from the run of the mill tourist destinations.

I am really drawn to hills and farmland and crops forming a quilted tapestry amongst the rolling hills... I like to see the grain bending in the wind... I like to come upon waterfalls and horses - this really appeals to me...
