I have heard that putting apple cider vinegar in a cat or dogs water will help get rid of fleas. Does anyone know if that trick would work with a pet fountain since the water gets filtered?

But would they like the taste? I am not sure they would like the vinegar flavour?

You don't add a lot. It dilutes in the water so there pretty much is no taste. This is a home remedy I have seen many places and talked to people who said that they used it. Apple Cider vinegar - to me at least - is not that strong.

I always heard to put the vinegar in their bath. Dawn with vinegar is supposed to help kill the fleas. I don't think my dogs would drink water with vinegar in it.

i'm not sure that would work-my cat would smell that a mile away and probably not drink it. i swear that cat has a nose like a bloodhound.
