sometimes, when you have a really high fever, the signs that you are talking about happens. you feel very cold inside but your head is hot. if the doctor says it's fever, i would suggest that you drink lots of water. also, do a cold compress on your head now and then. it'll help to bring the heat down. and when you sleep, yes, you'll feel cold but still try not to stuff yourself under the blanket as there's a chance that it will only make it worse. hope this helps and you recover soon. if you feel that you don't have fever, then see the doctor again and let him/her know your concerns. take care

A fever is a symptom, not a disease or illness.
A fever means an elevated body temperature. It normally happens when your body is trying to fight off something that isn't right, like an infection.

your fever is caused by an infection, you see having a fever is our body's defense mechanism against infection.
So most likely you have an infection which may be caused by either a bacteria or a virus.
You should ask your doctor what's causing your fever because it is our body's reaction to a foreign invader.
hope I helped you out.
