Do Your Tags Get Rejected?

I usually tag all of my discussions and responses, but more often than not, my tag does not show up. Now I have noticed more and more that if I come back to a topic more than once, at the end, it gives me the opportunity to choose another tag. I assume that this means that I am not a good tagger. How does tagging work out for you?

I've noticed that too Rozie. I thought it was because it only shows a certain number of tags and the others are just left off. Maybe I'm wrong about that!

I think that mine are rejected at times because they do not tie in well with the topic, although I do try hard. I believe that the tags are a very important part. They help catagorize the topic. I know that Amazon.com also uses tags and they also make reference to topics on Mylot. If you are ever on there, scroll to the bottom and you will see Mylot mentioned.

Well, honestly, I dont usually out tags on mylot. I just skip it esp when i am on the 11th response... I believe that somebody already type the tag that I will put.
It may not be the way you think it. Maybe somebody has already type that tag or delay in display. But I dont think there is criteria for tagging. You can place earth even if the topic is about fruit,.

I was wondering why they ask for more tags. I do not know if they reject your tags of it our tags are duplicates.

HA! I just started a discussion rant on this same topic. I did a search and your discussion didn't show up. Of course, it showed on the bottom after I submitted my discussion. I had commented that I had responded to tons of discussions today and could not get one of my tags to show up. I even tried to add some completely ridiculous tags to no avail. I think I'm not too bag at tagging, so I don't know what gives. Wish I had thought to ask this question when Crash had his discussion. whit

I have never heard of anyone that has hair their tags rejected...unless they were offensive or something like that..but it is always possible...I don't think that I have ever had any of my tags rejected except one time and that was because I had more than one tag...and they just told me that I had to have ten or less..so that was the only time..

Hi Rozie, I don't think that it's your tags are rejected but that there are so many there already that it's already filled and is why yours isn't showing. Just a guess anyways. I don't worry too much with the tagging because I really see no point in doing it unless I HAVE to do it then I will.

Unless I am starting a discussion, I leave the tags alone. I have limited time and want to maximise my brain usage while I am here! lol.

No, not a waste of time, I just have so much going on here with 4 little ones, that for me, maximising my 'me' time on here is important. I do add tags when I start my own discussions, but that only happens every blue moon! lol.
