My mother's cats/dogs

Leo - This is my mom's cat Leo that I'm talking about. He's a little bitter fatter/fluffier now though lol

My mom loves animals and one of the things I enjoy about going to visit them is that I get to see their animals. They adore me and I love them. Where I live though, I can't have any. When I go stay at my mom's, all the cats and dogs love on me. I'd have to say Sox and Leo, dog and cat, are mine in a way. Sox is a decent size dog, a lab, or a lab mix, not sure, but he loves to jump up and sit on my lap. As for Leo, he likes to snuggle with me. When I go to sleep, he's always laying near where I sleep, and when I lay down to go to sleep, he jumps up on my pillow and snuggles with my head. It is so sweet/cute. Are there any cute/sweet things that your cats or dogs do, or any that you would say are yours and yours alone and not the whole family? Why do you say that, or what are the cute/sweet things they do?

My cat gets his favorite toy in his mouth (this lion head that broke off from the rest of it's body) and he kneads our pillow with all four paws for like 30 minutes. He'll only do it when he thinks no one is watching, like right after we go to bed. If we happen to catch him "in the act," he totally freezes, paw mid-knead, wide-eyed. Then, he'll drop his toy still frozen, then jump off the couch and act like nothing happened. Kind of like he was caught doing something naughty. When he really gets into the kneading, he'll start doing this full-mouth meow that's higher pitched and muffled (because he's got his toy in his mouth.) Anyway, it's REALLLLLY cute but kind of weird too! I've NEVER heard or seen another cat that does that! Your pets sound really cute too!

haha...that's how some cats are that if you catch them do something they really like, they freeze and then take off like a bat from heck. I don't think I've met/seen a cat that has done that, but somehow I can picture it. And, weird can be good =]

Yeah..my dog whenever you lay down at night to go to sleep he can't sleep by himself because he is afraid of being alone and being in the dark by himself...so he has to come up to where you are sleeping and snuggle up to you so that you can put your ar maround him...i guess so nothing can get him lol thats all i can figure..

That's how two of my parent's dogs are. When they go to bed at night, the dogs jump right up there and lay between them. They're little though, so it's ot like they take up half the bed.

Oh, and what a cutie! Leo is adorable. But I thought I couldn't post up any photos until I had 500+ ratings. I see you have only 27, and can still post photos. I guess I am still learning. Thanks. I'll have to figure out how. I was able to post up a photo in my profile, but can't figure out how to for my icon and on postings.

Oh, thank you for your reply. And also about that information of photos in discrussions. I did not know that. And since I posted, I found out about the "ICON" thing I was questioning about. I found out that it is called the "Avatar". ;o) There's my kitty, Sylvie babe!

Did you live with them for several years also, before moving out? Just wondering, because though over the years I have had many loving cars, some loving guests and family visiting. But my two kitties right now, they are both soooooo scared of anybody who does not live in the house every single day and night. When my sister comes to visit, they stay away, and are scared, though this year has been the most progress, where once or twice, when I am right next to Sylvie, she has allowed my sister to pet her gently. Not for a long time though. Around me alone (or another long term family member), she trusts me so much. You can read a posting I did about what our pets do, showing their trust. ;o)
