Money, Money, Money

Just out of curiosity, when those of you mylotters first started at mylot, did you do it because of the conversations or the money? Has that changed now that you have gotten to know other mylotters? I know me, personally, I don't do it for money although it started out that way. That's only because I didn't know anyone on here. I haven't made payout yet and that's not a big deal to me. I have found conversations here to be quite wonderful. The advice that many of you has given me has helped me in so many ways. Sometimes I think it's quite sad that this world revolves around money. Everything has to center around money. But money doesn't make people happy. Sure...It helps, and it makes people happy to afford the things that they need and want...but how many of you have walked away from your computer happy because you made a new friend on mylot or because the advice they give you really did help you? I know this has happened numerous times for me so I was just wondering if it's the same for anyone else? Thanks for your opinions guys....

It's hard for me to imagine joining a site for money. How much can you make here? I'd imagine you'd have to invest a lot of time here to make $20/mo? At the most? I've joined to network and get info, so I could use my time more productively and make real $

To be frank,i take part in mylot for improving my english level.discussing with people from all over the world, can nourish my mind, broaden my horizons and render me a fresh feeling.though now i havn't made my friends from mylot, but making friends is one of my purpose in mylot.Money is also one of the purpose, but not the most important.I don't think discussing and talking is the of earning money. With the quickening pace of technological and economic development, money is more and more important.people sad without the money, but when you have lots of money you may not be happy. So i think we need money but we don't need so many money.I can live and i can give my parents and child good life that is enough.

To be honest when I first started on her it was because of the money, but now I stay for the people and the conversations. I love that there are so many different topics on here that I can look at and respond to. I have gotten a lot of great advice on here and find a lot of great topics as well.

yes i agree with...we can't find true happiness in money...although i can help but don't be a servant of money...it can make you bad if you continuous acquiring it specially in a very quick way...many people or individual promise to pay a very large amount but sad to say their promises gone...i am here not for money but for the friendship and the sharing of good ideas...

I was never for the money (though it is an added bonus). The first time I stepped into myLot (more than a year ago), it was for the conversations and not the money...and I'm still here for the conversations...because I love to yap...and I get to do it here without irritating anyone..lol

One of the hot topics is setting targets on how many discussions to do per day. One today said 1500 discussions for March as the target. Why? This is all definitely for money. Everyone today has money as the main objective when writing though you may be carried away sometimes on intersting discussions. Still, for most, if not for everyone, money is the main objective. Can anyone roughly estimate how much can you earn for 1500 discussions per month?

Well, I must admit that I was at first surprised how someone can pay you for discussions. But then I realised it is quite difficult for me to make a lot of money here because I'm not that much of a discussion starter or a problem solver. Like you, I too haven't reached payout even once. But I may say that it has given me solutions to a lot of problems I had. I have known quite a lot of people here whom I found very impressing and the way they handle questions or situations have taught me a lot. So right now, I would say that I am here for the people rather than the money. Even if I don't respond to any discussion, I always have fun reading the responses of others.

Frankly, I never joined MyLot for the idea of the money. I mean let's face it. If you want to make money, MyLot is the wrong place to be because you are certainly not going to be making a decent amount of money. One is better of joining www.TreasureTrooper.com or www.CashCrate.com. But I joined MyLot because it helps me in the sense that it improves the way I communicate my ideas. I just do it out of fun because I am very opinionated and I like getting my point across to a wide-section of people. The fact that MyLot.com pays is just a big plus. I am doing something I enjoy doing which is exchange ideas. -Feel free to disagree!

Like everyone else here, it was because looking for an extra income. But soon money matter is no longer an interest. I find that mylot is a place for me to look for friends, answers to some of my questions. I find that mylot community is caring and there so many good people here.

When I first joined I was very excited about the site, I can talkative as I want and get some small dollars for that. How fantastic is it? I rarely to reach payout easily, but it is Ok because from this site I learn a lot a lot about making money online. Everyone is crazy about referrals (including me as well), and there are a lot of good advises about making money online from here that I can not find anywhere else.

I would have to say that mine is for the conversations and the friendship. I have been a member of mylot for over a year and have yet to be paid so that should tell you something lol. I enjoy the conversations and making new friends. If I ever reach payout, that will just be an added bonus.

Sadly I am enjoying the adult conversation on here. I'm a recent SAHM after having my second child. I did first check my lot out for the money but regardless of the money if I didn't enjoy the conversations I wouldn't bother writing. Its just not enough money to do something I'm not enjoying. I definitely see the potential for some great advice on here too.
