I stay far away from my family, because i need to finish my medical lab program in philippines while my parents are in Indonesia. Living alone is not that easy, since i can't eat my fave dish (since my dorm is not allowed me to cook) and i need to manage everything by myself.
How about you?
Do you still stay with your parents or not, or do you stay with your own family (your husband/wife/children)?
How do you find it?

after i was 18 and went to college it never was the same for me..yes a visit but then i would be off..first college ..then military..four years..stay single long time seen a lot and finally settle down..but it is not what you do that you regret is what you don't do..so i regret nothing..you learn by doing and not all your life are you going to be 100% good..but hope for the best and prepare for the worst..but now I am married but my sometimes my wife goes back to the Philippines ..last time ..45 days..but she was supposed to be six months but she got sick..and missed me and our pet dog Reggi...Yes living alone is not easy..but try living with someone you dislike..one who has habits that bother you or has mental defect? it happens..but my wife is 100% good..well..maybe 99 % good ..lol

I left my parents when I was in my early twenties and went flatting with a cousin. Actually they left us as they moved overseas to the Islands so I really had not choice but to start out on my own. Glad I did though.

I am still living with my parents. I was got married twenty years back. I was living with my parents when I was married with my beloved wife. I can not dare to leave them alone. Me and my family members respect my parents. My wife could not spare me to leave my parents. I had married for me as well as for my parents. I am only financial supporter of my combined system of family. we are living like gentlemen. And enjoying our combined family system. My parent also can not imagine us to be separate from them.

I still stay with my parents.i find it very boring because my parents always watch me and keep asking different questions.I think living alone and taking my own decisions will be better.

I moved out of my parent's home when I was 22. I did live in a dorm while I was in college, but I was still "officially" living with my folks.
I have since then lived with roommates, since I've never found a man I wanted to marry and neither have they. And, as I've learned the last few years, this has lead to the 20+ cats in my life....

hello manya_pearl. I am also living in Indonesia. :)
I still live with my parents since I haven't had my own family and this is the best way to save more money and just allocate my saving for supporting my parents, and the most thing is ... I can quickly help my parents on time when they need me. I ever stayed at another district back then and I think I understand the way you feel. keep on fighting, and full spirit, Friend! I know it's difficult for you, but your current experience will worth it! :)

I moved out from my parents home to go to college when I was 18. I know what you mean about the food and dorms not allowing you to make things. Sometimes my friends and I that lived in the dorm would visit friends who had apartments just so that we could cook something that tasted better than the dorm meals! The friends in the apartment probably liked it too because they were tired of always having to cook for themselves and we shared what we made.

That must be pretty difficult for you. There are a lot of dorms who may allow you to cook so that you can eat your fave food. Its a small consolation being away from your family. As for me, I am still staying with my family though I have my own house already. I rather find living with my parents easier and more convenient.
