How do you deal with Depression?

I'm actually in a state of depression at the moments because I wasn't able to meet my expectations. I started the week with a very weak spirit that almost had no power to go on. I really felt depressed. What I did was to divert my attention into things that would bring me happiness. I went swimming and I did laps to ease remove the tension and weariness in my soul. I also visited a few places that I have never visited before and I did it all alone so I could search where would I start anew. But when I cannot do these things because my resources are limited at some times, I only open the computer and surf the web. I read very inspiring stories, discovering new things that have only been publicized very recent, I also go to forums sites such as mylot and write posts for my blog. It's my alleyway to release the tension and worries that's building inside me.
