the most OVER-USED and ABUSED word

What do you think is the most over-used and abused word in the vocabulary? For me it's... LOVE. People use it even if they don't mean it.

For me, it is just one of the most commonly abused words. In reference to your example, I agree that it is abused because one of the denotations of abuse is misuse.

Two phrases that I think are over used is I love you and I'm sorry. There are types of people that say I love you every 5 seconds and it gets on my nerves. In my household we only say it when we mean it. The I'm sorry part is when someone says it every time you turn around. There are certain times to say it and then there are others that don't have to be said.
