Do you still have your books from childhood?

I have always been so careful with my books. Up to now, I still have most of the books my parents and other relatives have given me when I was younger. Aside from the sentimental value, I keep those books because I would like to share them to my future children. How about you? Do you still have your books from way back?

Wow, I have so much stuff from my childhood. I have started giving my books to my son and it is interesting to see him pick out books that were my favorites. Its much fun to read to him those old books. I also have many of my old toys and give him some now and again. He enjoys them just the same. ( not to mention the cost savings for my wife and I)

It's really great to share something that we love like books to our children. It's nice to share some common interests with them. One day, when I will have children of my own, I would definitely share with them the books I have read as a kid.

Unfortunately, I was not a very careful child. My books, like my doLLS weRE pretty messed up. However, I have replaced a number of my favoite childhood books through the years. The ones I most treasure are first printings (with dust jackets) of CHARLOTTE'S WEB and STUART LITTLE.

I still have some of the books I used to use when I was young. I would laugh at it when I try to read those books we read during kinder.. ^_^; They are all set aside somewhere in the house and would probably be seen again when we fix the place or just, relocate the items in a different manner like we use to ^_^;

I still have my Biggles books, though they are packed away in a box because I ran out of room on my book shelves

I have some, and I went out awhile back and purchased some of the ones that I remembered very well that I would want to share with my children. But I was and still am a very avid reader. This really causes books to begin piling up. So I remember a larger amount of books my Mom made me give to friends and such cause I think she was tired of seeing piles of books everywhere. And considering some of the really great new books there are if I saved all of my childhood ones and then bought all the new ones I like for my children I would start to accumulate piles of books very quickly.
