Allison used the "R" word 4 times last night.

So, is it more offensive, as offensive or less offensive that Allison called her House Guests (Ryan in particular) "Retards" 4 times last night, than it was when Adam used that word. Now, Adam actually used it while talking about Autistic children. So, I believe it is not as offensive that she used it on her house guests. But, knowing that Sheila's brother (I think) has Autism and she was the one most hurt by Adam's use of the word, how do you feel about Allison using it 4 times against her fellow house guests last night?

I think Allison should be yelled at just like Adam was! But I can see why his comment may have seemed more offensive b/c he said it ABOUT the actual mentally ill kids. Either way, the way sheila went off on him, she should yell at allison just the same or else she is a hypocrite. Not liking a word should be the same no matter how it is used.

I completely agree! I do believe that using it on a mentally challanged person is a bit worse. But, if Sheila felt so stongly about it when Adam used it, Allison should hear the wrath like Adam had to.

Yeah I wonder if they will even show this on next show or if they will hide it just b/c of the problems they had the last time the comment aired.

I missed that, but I have a question. If a person is crippled whats the difference if someone calls them a cripple or someone asking them to race? Do you get my point? I'm sure a lot of people will be on my case but I'm handicap,I am crippled.

I think I understand your point. Are you saying that you're being crippled doesn't define you and that being called crippled shouldn't offend you because it is just one part of your existence? So, why should someone be insulted by being called retarded because they are mentally retarded? Is that what you are trying to say? I wouldn't bash you or get on your case. I think I understand what you are saying. You have a good point if I understand what you are saying.

I have a problem with anyone using the term Retard. Seriously, it is as bad as any racial slur in my book. Do I think Adam's use or Alison's is worse, well, yea, but only because Adam actually works with these autistic children (or he did, I heard he was fired, he just doesn't know yet). Alison should know better, little miss educated woman that she is! Good grief, this house is like a disease this year. And dang it, why didn't they vote out Matt and Nat last night, I so want them gone. I can't stand Natalie for one more minute!
