Yes it does because I feel I do better with responses as opposed to starting a discussion so when I do come up with a nice one, I would like to receive some feed back. Did you get my response re: When you were a kid?

I know what you mean. You post something that you think will really whet peoples appetites and nothing happens. Sometimes I have posted whet I thought would be a quiet little post and get dozens of replies. Mind you I do sometimes think that I will respond to a discussion and then forget all about it. LOL

Yup sometimes it happens to me. But I've become used to it now. There are so many writers in mylot. You can just imagine how many people have new ideas to write about every moment everyday! If you happen to be at a time where thousands of mylotters are online, you would be lucky if you can find your newly posted discussion on the first page of the New Discussions section for a while. When I post a new discussions, I would usually while away my waiting time by reading and responding to other mylotters' posts.

I know exactly what you mean. I hate it when I ask a question or need help in some way and nobody responds. I go to bed wondering about the answer. Then, I wake up the next morning to tons of responses. I've learned to be very patient here on MyLot. I don't really post anything really juicy.

Yes, i actually feel it too. I am kind of nervous after I post a new discussion, to see if people are going to react, and more important than that - how. I am very pleased to see people get involved in a discussion of mine, and I also like to hear new opinions on my subjects. Well, but the fact that I am just waiting for answers comes from my temper, and if I'm not mistaking, yours, too. We are just curious, that's all!

I get excited waiting for responses but if I don't get any in the first few minutes I turn back to answering others discussions as maybe the rest of the world are still sleeping when I initally post. I have only had one discussion where I have only had one response which was disappointing, but I've had others with 30+ which I love, don't we all. Ellie :D

That's what I've felt at times, agitated and even anticipating! Heehee!;) But realized that we are all different, we came from every parts of the world and time is also a factor. I haven't had any post this late, that were not responded. I'm doing my best to keep my discussions catchy in the eyes of members, at least to offer them something that they could not resist!=)

I guess there is no choice but to wait. Life is a game of waiting anyway, sometimes. Isn't it? :P Suggestion: Perhaps you can try increasing the number on your friend list.

When I post a discussion I quite often do it just before logging off to sleep or just to do something else for a few hours that way I am not worrying why there are no replies and I log into several responses all at once! xxx

Depends on what the subject is about. Often i dont think about it and continue to another discussion, to have something to do while i wait for any responce.

well i don't post discussions that often so i'm not sure if i'd feel that way but i think i would. but like someone said, i think i also wouldn't be thinking too much about it and would continue posting to other posts and all. but i think that's natural to feel that way. we'd be expectant to know or hear others' opinions about a subject that we're interested in so i guess i'd feel that way too.
