My Aunt is cool

My son sent my Aunt, his Great Aunt, a fund raiser thing for his school. It is a magazine subscription one. If the kids get two orders then they get a glow in the dark Garfield shirt. She not only did she order a magazine subscription, but she ordered it as a gift for him. So, in 6-8 weeks he will start getting Discovery Kids magazine. How cool is she?

Sounds like she's a great person. My newphews had something like that and sadly their parents didn't help, but my mother in law and my husband and I did so at least they got something. It's always good to give kids something. You surly have a wonderful aunt.

That is so sweet of your aunt... or should I say your Sons GREAT-Aunt!
Not only is she helping the school out, with her donation, she is also helping your son with that great magazine...
He needs to make sure and really thank her... Maybe send or give her some of your wonderful Toffee!!!

Oh what a lovely thought, a great thing for her to do, I think you could call that an Aunty thing to do, I don't have kids of my own so I know how much being an Aunty can mean and the great things one can do...good on her...

Most awesome. I think kids are wonderful. I think grownups who value kids are wonderful, too. (This probably means you should visit your Great Aunt sometime as a way of saying thankyou.)

I just saw her about a month ago. I went back home to visit and stayed the night at my grandfathers house. She was there for the night as well along with another aunt and her daughter. Another aunt and uncle stopped by while we were there too.

I think and hope that every kid has one family member like that. I too had an aunt like that and a grandmother. WHen I was in 7th grade they took me, just me, to Disney World. They were always making me feel special. I wish I had started a scrapbook or memory book. I didnt and now all I have are memories. If possible start a scrapbook for or with your son. He'll thank you in later years. Good Luck with the magazine!dl

That sounds like the kind of thing my Aunt Nancy would do for my sister and I. Aunts are rally cool that way. I wish I lived closer to my nieces and nephews.

I have thought about getting that one
for my little one, but wasn't sure if the
age range was right.
