What will happen to our children if they take junk food everyday? My children love junk food so much. I always tell them why they should not take that kind of food. I have to stop myself from buying that kind of food. I have no idea what will they get if they keep on taking junk food. it is because they asked me so much questions. Anybody can tell me?

yes its always a common problem as parents if kids love junk food we are always wanted to give the best and healthy food if possible but those that we wanted them to eat sometimes are those that they don't like either ha ha ha ha and they will ask why we prohibit those food and why they selling it..it happened to me with my 9 yr old daughter she is the only one but we strictly not allowing her to eat any street or junk foods ..how i convinced her?well it happened that we are both watching TV featuring all the young children suffering from kidney and other related diseases like diabetis in which the host explain that too much sodium cause that kidney trouble that can get from eating too much junk food and other preservative foods so she saw that, and I just tell her that well if your not going to listen to me that will happened to you you will be hospitalized and got sick..since then she is very much concern and she seldom eat and if she eats she look into the level of that food, the sodium content ha ha ha..see kids now a days are very intelligent they need proof yet before they believe

To solve this problem just don't by any or have any in the house. Do you eat junk food? Kids usually do and eat what their parents do and eat. Our kids grow up to the ways that we teach them. I know they see others eating junk food, their friends, but if you don't have it available for them at home, they can't eat it. But in saying that, a little junk food won't hurt them, as long as it isn't all the time. As a treat once in awhile is okay. There is also good junk food, like sugar free candy and sugar free jello. You could give them that kind.

Yes I did give them junk food if they wanted it. We have three daughter's and when they gained from all the junk food at home or McDonald's and they became interested in boys, they quit eating the fattening stuff. All 3 are adults now and not overweight. There are so many other items you can buy at the store today that are satisfying and won't cause as much weight gain. Depending on their ages, I would take them to the store and let them choose what they want. Read the labels and decide if it's something that is healthy and filling. With age they might shy away from junk food and eat healthy.

I don't let my son eat so much junk food. I only permit him eat one or two candies, and less than three pieces biscuits per day. Sometimes I even don't give candy or biscuit to him. He only can drink milk, and has meals on the right time, like breakfast, lunch and dinner. I told him that the junk foods is not good for his health. So even he wants to eat. He still can control himself. Sometimes he told me he didn't eat something like candy. He said"It's bad for my tooth!"

My son loves junk food, and asks me all the time if he can have some. And I always tell him its more of a treat than a meal. When I buy the junk I tend to use it more for movie time. Kids can access junk food any where, I know schools are taking it out, accessing healthier foods. Try apple juice or yogart in popcicles. Or even apples and peanutbutter, celery with cheese. Kids are sometimes hard to please with food, sometimes picky, and sometimes just don't want to try new things. My son is like that most of the time. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I give them occasionally but not too often. I will give them after the normal meals so it won’t spoil their appetites of any meal. I understand that they enjoy the junk food very much so it is nice for them to have a chance to try once a while.

My son also likes junk food such as the potato chips. I think it's alright to give him, anyway, I will not let him eat a lot. He is satisfied in eating a little of it. I think we shall try different kinds of food.

This is a big problem. Here in the US we have so many kinds of junk food but you know that. When I grow up it was just eat at home. Pure and simple. Now the food industry is so big they say over half the Americans get their meals at McDonalds , KFC Pizza..so the list goes on There is a movie called "supersize me" which shows the bad effects if you lived on this fast food every day and every meal...all kinds of health problems..heart is effected as well as brain..sometimes cause stroke and high blood pressure , diabetes If the kids eat tis once a week..maybe it be OK..for a special treat if they were good..but more then once a week its getting to effect their health and addict them to this junk food. Even my wife goes back to the Philippines for a months she gets tired of her own countries food..fish and rice etc and craves KFC and other junk food heaven places...she learned this in Japan when whe was working their but it is in Manila too..but here we have our own car so it only a short drive...but i try to eat this stuff but give in to my wie as Rome was not built in a day...do your best

I don't give them junk food when they're still toddler, only now that they are adolescents, they do eat . but I always tell them not to eat many junk food coz all junk foods have MSG it's not good for our health.

I believe everything in moderation so allow some at home and a takeout once a week, but most of the time mine don't get a choice they eat what I dish up or go hungry, tough love but it works. Obviously there are things I know they definately don't like so don't prepare that for them. Last night we had fish, chips and mushy peas, the night before I cooked a meat pie with lots of mixed vegetables, potatoes and gravy this was all eaten, last night chips were left but fish eaten. We all like junk food not just kids but its all about getting the balance right eh! Ellie :D

Junk food is as it is called junk food. People can live without junk, so I guess this goes the same for junk food. Most junk food have a lot of MSG that can be harmful to health and you don't really get that much nutrition from eating these kind of food. You are right, you do have to stop buying that kind of food so that your children will stop eating these. If there's no junk food to eat in the house and only healthy home cooked ones, then they really don't have much of a choice, do they? I made it a point not to introduce junk food to my toddler eversince she was young. When she'd be handed junk food, she wouldn't really take notice of it and would rather munch on some real food.
