Pros:
Kate Beckinsale looks very pretty playing wifee. Few Funny Portions.
Cons:
The story has little substance, lacks dramatic fortitude, and fails to be highly funny.
What I Thunk:
"Click" is a failure at merging comedy and drama. The comedy is mildly funny in a crude way, making for a bad union with its serious side. When the main character is deep in an emotionally dramatic part, and then gives someone the finger as a side gag.. it takes away any credit that you might be trying to muster up for it. It needs to learn from other Adam Sandler films like "50 First Dates" and "Punch Drunk Love", that hold humor and drama, that complemented each other well. Adam Sandler was pleasant in "Click", but not funny to the point of making it worth 107 min. of your time.
Adam Sandler is fair, playing Michael Newman, a workaholic architect who seeks to keep his family happy. Stressed to the highest point, he finds it impossible to be a good family man and a overachieving employee. At the Bed, Bath, & Beyond he meets Morty, who is Chris Walkens playing his nutzo self (that is becoming tiresome), and that's where Michael receives a "Time Altering" remote control. Which leads him into an unbelievable story that teaches him life lessons, but is a low movie effort.
Did you like "Click"?
