The series premiered on September 17, 1972, and ended February 28, 1983, with the finale becoming the most-watched television episode in U.S. television history with over 105 million viewers[1]. It is widely considered one of the greatest shows in television history. The show is still broadcast in syndication on various television stations (mostly during the late night/early morning hours). The series spanned 251 episodes and lasted eleven seasons covering a three-year war. Did you watch MASH when it was on the air originally? What about reruns now? Were you even alive when MASH was on the air? I was almost 5 when the final episode aired.

I think I started watching with my mom when I was around 11. I did see the final episode when it aired. I remember that I cried. It was so sad. I was 12. I have since watched the syndicated runs. It really was a wonderful show. I appreciate it more now in my adulthood. i doubt when the original movie came out in theatres in 1970 that any one would have thought it would become a tv show. Probably one of the best loved to date.

mash - MASH was about a Hospital in Korea
My family always watched MASH when it was on and if given the chance we would watch it now. Hawk eye was my favorite character along with Hot Lips. Radar was the best too. I was in my 30s when it first came on the air.

I did not watch it then. I was never interested in military shows. I have been watching it in reruns the last couple of years because my husband is a MASH fanatic. He watches it over and over. I didn't pay any attention to it at first but after awhile I started watching and now I really enjoy it. I love Charles Emerson Winchester III and Col. Potter.

I watched the last episode of MASH when it aired. I enjoyed it, as I recall. I don't remember any final episode of any series that I enjoyed more. Then again, I was younger -- so maybe I was more easily attached to TV shows, then.

I never really watched the show. My best friend however loved it. He caught it on reruns and DVDs. We used to playfully argue, in high school, about which was the better show, "MASH" or "Picket Fences" (you know typical high school conversation lol.) When the finale aired we both weren't even born yet (both born in 1986). I'll be sure to let him know that yesterday was the 25th anniversary of the series finale. Thanks.

I love M*A*S*H. I was pretty small when it first came on the air and like 14 years old when it went off the air. My dad used to really like it and watched it all the time. I remember that I didn't like it when I was younger. When I got to be in the military that's when I started watching it and have loved it ever since. They used to have re-runs on at 10:30 and I always stayed up to watch, but now I only see them on once in awhile on a Saturday afternoon. We don't have cable or satellite out where I live.

I love MASH so much....I wasn't alive when it was actually out, but I've watched probably all of the reruns. I would love to get all of the seasons on DVD. Klinger and Hawkeye were my favorites!!!
