Please can someone explain what you actually get paid for here on mylot?!

I have been a member here for over 3 weeks now, and i sort of dont really care about the earnings, they are just a bonus, i am here for all the good discussions and friends =] But some days my earnings jump, and others they hardally move. I have looked through the help section and cant find anything on this matter. Please could someone tell me what you actually get paid for (Also i heard that there is a new earnings program out recently, what changes has this made?)how much do you get paid for each thing you do. Do you get like $0.01 for every post or what? If someone could shed some light on it for me then i would be grateful =]

you get paid, for posting discussions, answering discussions and for your referrals if they are active, the more active you are the more money you make,
I don't know about the new stuff either, I never read about it.
