Mothering Sunday - What things do your children do this day usually for you?

Its Mothering Sunday this weekend and as a daughter I will really miss not be able to spend time with my mum as she lives abroad and I was remembering some of the things I used to do. One year when I was little I picked all the daffodils out of a neighbours garden and gave them to her, the neighbour was furious, I was about 4, but my mum apologised on my behalf as she understood the sentiment behind it, but I was told kindly not to again. I will have two of my three children with me, the hat trick would be nice but I'm sure my eldest who is away will come up with something special. Even when she was travelling in Australia before she left she had made a massive card with the other two and left it behind for them to give me bless, my other daughter will spend lots of time pampering me, and my little one made a lovely card at nursery for me today. So I am looking forward to a relaxing Sunday. What will you do for your mum? or what do you think your children will do for you, or would like them to do for you? Please share Ellie :D

I live 200 miles away from my mum but will be getting up at 5am mothers day morning to go spend the week with her. I dont get to spend much time with my mum and with having children is well I thought it would be extra special for her to have her daughter and 2 grandchildren for the day. I normally only send mum flowers for mothers day which I hate doing because all they do is die but is my only option because of being so far away, however aswell as paying her a visit I have booked us a girly day at the spa as it is also my birthday on Monday so we can celebrate together.

Oh wow Shelley how lovely, you enjoy your girlie day sounds delightful. I prefer pot plants to flowers as they last but difficult to sen through post. My daughter bought me a lovely pot of daffs last year and already this year they are blooming so a constant reminder cos cut flowers do indeed die. Oh I bet your mum is so excited that you are all going to be there for tomorrow. Happy Mothers Day to all us mums eh! Ellie :D

hi ellie my sisters all like to spend time at my mums which is nice, my son will be coming this year,am not sure wether he has got anything for me this year as he very short on money, my daughter and grandson have a really bad cold and chest infection so i wont be seeing them this weekend either but i know she has got a card for me-the main thing to me is that i have two wonderful children and that is my present always-littleowl

wow ellie..it was very nice to have a grown up kids..how i wish my kids are grown up so that i can also experience like you..cheers

i can serve my mother and i will cook this day for my mother i will do all her work and so i need to give her rest because day will come only for mothers so i will my love to her. And i always make smile her most of the people do the same thing but i don't whether are they doing or not but i will do in my own way.
