Movies are fun to watch and many a time there are movies that are ment for young kids that have some sort of adult theme in them. Do you feel that some movies are becoming inappropriate for our kids in this generation, or do you think it's no big deal. Sure in most cases kids won't understand, but in others kids will ask questions.

Movies do have age guides here in UK, but some of the animmated ones that are for whole families to watch do have adult humour within them that some children may pick up on. I think there is too much violence in a lot of them but I grew up on Tom and Gerry and that was in its time and didn't affect me in anyway. I think a bigger problem is the computer type games where they actively have to kill people etc to build up points and win. As parents the best we can do is monitor what they watch and play and use our own judgement on it as we know our own children and the affects it will have on them. Good Question. Ellie :D

A lot of movies are not appropriate for kids. That is why you should always read multiple reviews before taking your kids to a movie. Just because a movie is Pg, doesn't mean that it is really for that age set, will contain themes that the children will understand, or even be the type of movie they will like. I don't mind my son asking questions, we encourage him to do so, but we do try to avoid taking him to movies that we know will go way over his head.

me and my children dont watch movies that much. i just wait at the DVD. when i get a copy i watched it first before i let them watch. i will be the one who will decide if my children can watch or not. specially now that they are on their teens, i dont wantthem to feel that what they see on movies are okay and alright.

HEck, here are so many movies supposedly made for kids that have themes that I really don't want my boys seing and hearing at their age. You almost have to see the movie before the kids do to decide.
