Yes I do. I don't earn much and I have expenses but I make sure to tithe 10% of whatever I make to my church.

That's wonderful to read. I've always felt that the first 10% of anything I earn is the Lord's, because he provided the earnings in the 1st place and it's his. He is always faithful to provide all our needs no matter what. You will be blessed indeed.

Yes. This is the first year that I've tithed regularly. It's funny how even though things are financially pretty tight, we don't miss the 10%.

I would if I attended church regularly, but the biggest shame is that I prefer sleeping.

Yes, my husband and I give 10% to our church. Sometimes it is hard to do but I know the Lord will bless us for it.

I try to, but don't always succeed. I don't believe that church can be the only source of tithing. God, I think, is happy if you donate money for social change or charity, too. Of course, you can donate to religious groups and churches as well. It's most important that you give you give- of yourself, of your time, of your money. Anyone can do it, whatever their income! Not all good work takes money and we're all earning money here that we wouldn't have had anyway. So if you can't spare any, which I don't really believe is true of any of us- if we plan accordingly, of your regular income, try tithing 10% of you're Mylot earnings.

Dont let your right hand know what your left hand give. I follow this very closely and never let anybody know what I give. What do you think about that?

Giving is a wonderful thing and you're right...it doesn't need to be broadcasted over the world what you do. I was just curious if many believers honor God as the Bible talks about by giving a tithe / 10% of their earnings...right off the top. That was one thing in the Bible that stuck out to me, because we're actually robbing God if we don't. I couldn't believe it was that important to God, but it is. Funny thing is, when I tithe I find that all my needs are met...not necessarily my wants all the time, but even my heart's desires were fulfilled. The Lord blessed our family in ways that we never could imagine. I was raised to honor the Lord with 10% of my earnings and I find it just comes naturally to me even now. Anything I earn, the 1st 10% is the Lord's and I give it to my local church. What the church does with it is in God's hands from there. For awhile there, my family and I didn't have a church and we would watch Turning Point by Dr. David Jeremiah on TV and that ministry became our church. So our tithe went to that ministry. The Lord is so worth honoring and he's faithful to more than provide. Did you know tithing is one thing in the Bible that God tells us he'll bless us for doing and says to test him on it. No one can out give God.

I tithe as much as I can to church. Now I have a better job I'll be able to tithe more to the church. I have found that when I give what I can back to God he provides what I need. I can't say how many times I got a check from school or whatever at the perfect time I needed it.

That is so true to how the Lord blesses us, just by honoring him for what he's provided us in the first place. I look forward to the surprising ways he provides. Thanks for sharing.

I give a certain amount of money to our church. Our church says that ten percent is just an estimated figure and in the new covenant, giving ten percent is not necessary since everything we own is owned by God. So we give back a percentage or a certain amount of what HE blessed us with. Since I am the only one in our family attending church, and since I do not make that much, I cannot give of my husband's finances, but I have determined to each month give a certain amount that will not give me any resentment as to what I might have had if I did not give to the church.

we don't as often as we know we should. We know that God blesses a cheerful giver but at times it seems that the money needs to go for other things.
