Quit trying to figure it out. Just post good, honest responses, interact with people, and the rest will come.

Hi, not to take up too much time here or anything, but being new (only a couple of days), I can understand people asking the experienced posters about earnings. You said to search it. Ok, that's good, but I can see as a newbie that searching doesn't always find the answers. Some of the answers are pretty vague. Many of the experienced posters encourage newbies to ask questions. Some do give helpful answers and they are appreciated.

I've been here only 12 days and I seem to be doing quite a bit of explaining the same thing over and over. The information I've posted myself is in this same discussion area, over and over again. I'm willing to bet that the same question is asked several times, right on this same page of this discussion area. Sometimes telling someone how to find the information is better than just giving it to them. 'Give a man a fish and feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime' and all that.

Well, if you are looking for a lot of money Mylot is not the place, however, you can make some money. First of all, I looked at some of your responses. One liners do not earn you anything. Mylot tells us they want quality discussions and quality responses. Now, quality is a subjective thing and hard to define. The best advice I can give you is: think of discussions to post that will get you lots of responses, secondly if you respond, your answer should be relevant to the discussion, provide new insights, address the topic and be at least three lines long. Try this for a while and you will see more earnings. Also, Mylot determines the earnings by use of an algorithm, so we never know how much our earnings will be. It could be one cent, two cents or more per answer. Also if you answered a discussion that was deleted your earnings are also deleted. So pick your topics wisely, rate other posters positively if they provide good answers, resolve your own discussions by giving best response. Good luck.

Hi vinay049, The other responses here give good advice. The rewards provided by myLot seem to depend a lot on the degree to which a poster engages with other myLot members in meaningful discussion. It also DOES appear to be a little random - but I suppose that's because we don't know exactly how myLot is evaluating each contribution. So yes, the payments can seem a bit mysterious, and vary day by day even if you put in the same effort each day. One thing that I personally would suggest is that myLot probably isn't going to make anyone a lot of money - there's more lucrative ways to make an income than by just posting responses on the myLot forums. In fact, I believe that a lot of the participation on myLot happens because people actually enjoy it, rather than just for the sake of the small payments people receive from myLot. I hope you can find the balance here that works - accumulate a few friends, participate in a few discussions, and see how it develops for you. But you'll have to decide for yourself if it's a money-making proposition, or just an enjoyable hobby (or both).

I have started many conversation and have added my comments to others conversations and have almost $5. Least to say, I haven't counted how many I have done but it has been way more than 5 cents! Someone told me that it has something to do with sentence count and content. Respond with some solid comments and I think you'll do alot better. Have fun too! That's what this is all about!

The best way to earn money in myLot is to keep doing what you've been doing. It sounds like you have been very busy, and I am sure you will start to see it paying off soon. Give it a little bit of time for people to read and respond to your discussions and responses. Make sure that you are making quality posts and try to stay away from one-liners and things that don't add any value to the discussions you are replying to. Pictures are also good to add to your discussions, just make sure you have the rights to post them. Also, referrals are another great way to make money on myLot. You make 25% of any money that your referrals make. It definitely adds up quickly once you have a few active people under you. I hope that helps, and good luck!

we don't know the basis of mylot on how to calculate our earnings. they are the one who knows on this. if you ask me about i will make an estimated earnings you will earn. base on the given data you will earn more less 4 dollars. and that is a good earnings. you have a great work, since i started mylot i never got that number of posted comments and discussions, my highest was 50 comments and 5 discussions due to limited time.

Maybe, that statistics could result to $5 or more. I respond to 20 discussions and I make upto $0.5. All of those are long responses. So if you make 175-180 responses, you could add up to $5. Ah, those efforts are very big.

I think it has to do with sentence count and content. Are you typing out responses like this or are you abbreviating and making short sentences? I have a rule of thumb for my reponses--- I always type more than 3 full sentences to ensure credit. I almost always have alot to talk about anyways so that helps me. Good luck to you.

If you only earned 5 cents for that amount of responses and discussions, then you are doing something wrong. For that many postings you should have earned at least $4.00 or more. But since your discussions, like this one, is so short that is why you are not earning very much for them. You need to make them at least 5 or 6 sentences long to earn more. When you post one or two or even three lines, you may not be getting anything for them. When you have that many responses they can't be very long or of good quality because there would be no way you could make that many in a day, unless you are on the computer for 24 hours. I post about 25 responses and 5 discussions a day and it takes me about 5 hours to do that many, and I earn about $1.00.

I personally have over 200 posts, and started probably 20 or so, and my earnings are well over $5, and I've only been here for a little over a week now. I do post a lot in each post, and have gotten some best responses on top of that. I guess it all really depends on how much effort you put forth in each response.
