What is the fun in getting intoxicated?

alcohol is slowly killing everybody. I haven't even tasted it.It is the root cause for many dreadly diseases.I feel people are very much interested in getting intoxicated by alcohol or other means.Is it not crime and drinking is a cancer of the society.Does it not be banned?
