Custom made clothes?

Being a shorter than average male makes clothes buying extremely difficult! I will buy pants, then go to a tailor and have them hemmed. Not only is this method costly, but the pants usually still don't fit correctly!
Can anyone suggest any places that custom make men's clothes to fit? Lands End is the only place I've been able to find, and they are very pricely and use questionable measuring practices.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know where you live, this place is in Pennsylvannia. I have a friend who swears by their slacks. They do send orders out to those in other states. I suppose you could order once to see if you like them and once you know if you do, then you could order routinely as my friend does. He loves their jeans. What he really likes is that the 'rise' (the measurement from the front of the waist through the legs to the back of the waist) is also shorter so that the pants fit correctly there as well as length! He hates it when there are handfuls of fabric hanging down to his knees in this area! Best of luck to you! The link for the store is:

Thanks for the link I will definetly check it out. The rise is a big problem. I can get children jeans that fit fine.
As for slacks though I can relate to all the extra fabric, and I hate having pockets that go down nearly to my knees after they are hemmed.

My brother has a similar problem his sizings are inportionate with each other so he has to have suits specialy made, it is almost impossiable for him to find his size in stores without resorting to seperates which he often dose. I have a lot of my things specialy made but that is just for personal prteference.

this might be late but for future references, and for those looking for custom tailored suits from London, I recommend cad & the dandy. Good quality fabrics.
