Do you support Michael J. Fox's campaign for stem cell research?

He was in Des speaking today. When they showed him on the news, his entire body was jerking while he was speaking. It was so sad to see him that way when everyone remembers him as Alex P. Keaton or as Marty in the Back to the Future movies. Anyway, he's supporting the controversial stem cell research because he believes it can be used to help find cures for diseases like his. Some people are against what he's doing. What do you think?

I agree, that the restrictions is what needs to be worked out, and enforced. But then, I'd be willing to bet that there are probably rogue labs that do research without minding government guidlines anyways. Scary thought. Allowing research inherently opens up so many more ways to also abuse what can be a benefit. Aloha!

There will always be those people who operate outside the law hoping to strike it rich. They don't seem to realize that if there are laws against something, there's probably a good reason for the laws. Thanks for your opinion.

I think it is a very fine line thing. It really needs fine line stipulations on what can be done. We do need it for all the things it can help.

Yes, it needs to be very carefully regulated, but it should be done because of the benefits for mankind. Thanks for expressing your opinion.

I am all for it if they can help find Cures for some of the Muscle diseases and such. And I have heard they can help find Cures for Diabetes as well. Why does Bush not support this? I would think this would be something people would want to encourage if it could save people a lot of $$ in the future.
