Police dogs in the city of Duesseldorf are to wear little blue plastic fiber shoes in order for them to prevent them from getting paw injuries. The dogs are being trained in wearing these shoes on their job as to prevent stepping on glass shards, with Düsseldorf being famous for its pubs and drunken revelers. I think this is a pretty neat idea in keeping the dogs healthy and safe. Do you think American police dogs should do the same and/or if you hahve a dog, would you but these booties for your pet?

my friends dog has little booties because they ahve hardwood floor and the dog doesn't know how to walk on it. When they put the booties on the dog walks and trots around the house more like a horse then a dog. its pretty funny. then she gets mad at them and tries to chew her legs off to get the booties off. lol i dont think dogs like to wear shoes. .

That would be pretty funny to see. Dogs haven't been accustomed to wearing anything on their feet, they like to roam around without the use of plastic. Imagine how the first human shoes were treated, some people eventually needed to get used to them.
