When you see the advertisements asking for a donation..

What is your inital response? When I am watching tv, really the last thing I want to see between my shows is an ad asking for a donation. But then I start to feel bad, like right now, the one for the ASPACA just came on TV and I think, should I donate?? It makes me feel bad that my pets are loved and have a good home, yet theres so many other ones out there that need care. So I should be donating something to help. The same goes for St. Judes, or the children that are starving in other countries.. I feel bad for the food we end up wasting, or the money spent on things that they would never think of spending money on. It sounds stupid but those are the thoughts that go through my head. How you do deal with it? Do you feel an urge to donate and it passes by? Do you send money? Do you change the channel in irritation? I thought this was a good topic, I'd love to hear what other people do in the same situation.
