I was watching 60 minutes tonight and they reported on a ray gun that our military is in possesion of(like the one Buck Rogers used) yes people you heard me right...it is meant to stop you in your tracks- but not do any permanent damage- officially called the ADS - Active Denial System. The advantage of the ADS is you can stay out of harms way- yet still control a crowd.
The report went on to show that this machine is NOT used in the current war because the US Marines were not agreeing with a non-lethal weapon.
Has anyone else heard of this story? What do you think about it?
The Ray Gun is said to be ready to go to Iraq this summer- too little too late if you ask me- too many innocent civillians have already been killed.

Yeah I had heard about this a little while back. I think it's a great idea to control crowds, etc., especially because of the non-lethal point. It's ridiculous that it's not being used right now in Iraq if it's already been built and tested and all that. I say it's a good idea, and should be tested out in the field.
