Romantic Getaways

I spent my birthday on a lovely romantic getaway. It was very nice. It was secluded and kid free. I had a blast in the hot tub. It's called serenity log cabins, here in Ohio. And the owners make sure your stay is very personalized. Hotel chains don't do that for you in your sweet unless you are famous or paying into the thousands of dollars. The bed was so comfy and they had a special birthday basket just for me, with a special card. When I walked in they had the electric fireplace going, the lights dimmed, and romantic music playing. It was the best birthday ever, well other than the day I was born. Even if you can't get to Ohio to experience it personally, you should at least view their website or view my pictures. I just couldn't get enough of that hot tub. Oh yeah, he enjoyed it too. But like I said, this was "MY" birthday getaway, so it's not really important to you if he liked it or enjoyed it...LOL. I can't wait to go back. And they had a guest book where you can leave them and future guests a message about how they liked the cabin and things in the area. The Amish bakery there called The Country Crust had awsome pastries and pretzels. Everyone raved about the pretzels so I had to go get one. Anyway, what romantic getaways have you been on, that wasn't in some over priced franchised or corporate hotel?

Where in Ohio can you find a place like that? I don't have the extra money for it now, but sounds like a great place to go and to save up for in the future..:)

What part of Ohio do you live in? I live in Medina County. That place was towards near Columbus. There are sooo many you wouldn't believe. And they don't cost as much as you'd think. There are some with high prices, but they start low. Here are a few of the links:

I am in South-West Ohio, but I love to visit Hocking Hills, just North of Athens Ohio..:) I will check out these sites and see if any are around there..:)

I am actually getting a getaway at the end of june. my husband and i are renewing our vows when he comes home from being overseas and we are gonna have a honeymoon and everything. there are some cabins called bear creek cabins down in alabama and they are nice as all get out. we got it fairly cheap and at half price with him being a soldier. was very nice of them to do that though. i love the look of the cabins though and each one is spaced out far from the other ones, so it's totally secluded. i can't wait.
