Washing windows

I can't wait until the weather finally gets warmer and I can wash the windows. I think that when I look outside now and the windows aren't crystal clear it makes the whole house look smudged! LOL...I purchased the Norwex rags and love cleaning my windows with the micro fiber clothes. Sometimes when you do the windows you have to touch them to make sure there is glass in them. I recently also got a free one from Shell for filling up with gas. They are wonderful rags to clean with! Do you have any of the micro fiber rags for cleaning? And what do you think of them?

I can't wait to start cleaning my windows. The winter does a job on them with the snow and rain. I've been trying to keep up with the inside but it hasn't done much good. I usually just use vinegar and newspapers to clean windows and that does an awesome job...and is very cheap.

They are driving me crazy! I sit in the kitchen by the table and look out and yuck! Here's to spring!

I am not looking forward to washing any windows. Most of ours cannot be reached without a ladder. I have a few of those rags, but I have never used them to clean windows. I can see them doing a good job though.

I dont think I have ever gone out and cleaned the outside of all my windows. This is something I plan to do soon. My windows are fairly clean but looking like they are a bit dirty. I think I will clean them and they will look dirty again the next day but at least I will know that it is a few days and not years worth of dirt.

I have heard about those rags. Are those the rags you get at a special "Rag Party"? I know of people that have bought those and don't bother using them. Glad to hear that you like them. I may try them one day.

I really like them. I did the windows in my car and had to almost touch them to make sure there was still glass there! LOL

I absolutely Despise cleaning windows. I get what you mean about the smudges, and I have a wonderful view that would be blurred by dirty windows. But still, I hate it. I don't know why, it's not that hard. I would rather clean the toilet, or wash dishes, or do laundry even- which is second on my list of hated chores. I am looking forward to warmer weather so I can open the windows, not to clean them!

Your idea is great. The spring is coming,so we should clean the windows and other things in the house.Maybe you should take some good methods to do that.Is that right?

I've never seen micro fiber rags. Can they be bought at a regular grocery store or Walmart? I use papertowels and usually the windows are streaked when finished. I tried vinegar but didn't like it. Years ago my mother use to use vinegar with newspaper to clean the windows. We have the drop down windows for easier cleaning and I can't wait to get at them when it warms up.

I don't know if they have them at a grocery store. I bought mine at a rag party. They are wonderful! I used the vinegar and newspaper too once and the windows were clean but all the ink came off on my hands! I would never use that again.

I've never used those rags, but I am anxious to get my windows cleaned too! We have an old house, so we have to put up storm windows in the winter. We always wash the storms and the windows when we put them up, but I'm always anxious to take them down in the Spring and wash the windows again! There's just something about a house feeling even more clean when the windows are clear!

I love my window clean ,but I leave in a high building and can't wash the windows by myself. I have to pay for professional workers to do that very half a year. It is really expensive.

I can see why it's expensive. I wouldn't do it! But I feel for you as I love windows and so do you!
