I need contest Ideas

I need contest ideas for my forum. I was thinking of a post contest , for who ever makes the most posts during a month will get like 20$ I did see a contest going on in another forum , it was who ever gets the mosts posts in the month of march gets 50$ , it also said you must have over 500 Posts. Any ideas?

there's always the post contest. how about a raffle? each post counts as a ticket? It would encourage people to post even if they know they won't get 100 of posts like some people. You could also run 2 contests 1 for the most posts and another like the raffle at the same time.

I like that idea , then it gives everyone a chance of winning. I think i might do this , i have a lottery system installed. Then all they would have to do is by a ticket. They get points for posting. I think i might do two different contests.

In terms of post contests. There is one site I seen doing a post contest in which whoever was a certain number post wins. For example, put up a post contest topic and whoever is like the 250th post wins a prize, or 176th post. I say doing a post contest this way could mean multiple prizes depending on how much you're giving out. Something like every 50th poster gets $5 or something.

What about a referral contest? The person with the most referrals in one month could win a prize. That way you would not only get people working toward winning but you will also get more people to your forum. I prefer the idea of posting the most but then you get alot of nonsense posting just to win. Just my thoughts. Good luck with what ever you decide. I hope you get some good ideas.

That is a good contest! I cannot really think of any contest ideas right now. The only thing I can suggest is that the contest should be based on the number of quality posts instead of quantity posts. Because some people can just post irrelevant posts to the topics just to be posting more than his/her neighbor. Or you could just pick the top quality or most active posters, and draw. A game of chance, maybe. -Feel Free to Disagree!
