Have You Ever Met Up Face to Face Another MyLot Friend?

The idea just came to me as I was replying to a private message where someone mentioned a pub nearby to me that they visited last summer and in my response I said well if they were visiting this summer let me know and we could meet up there. Has this ever happened to you, have you ever met up with one of your friends on your MyLot friends list and if you did, how did the meeting go, do you still meet up or just converse online as before. Please share stories. Ellie :D

It would be really cool to do, but I haven't met up with anyone. I live in a small Texas town, and I really doubt anyone lives near me!

I have met up with 3 of my mylot friends however it wasnt someone that I didnt know already. 1 got me to sign up for it and the other 2 I got to sign up.

I guess I am a cheater also, the people I personally know on here are the person who referred me (my godmother) and people I know personally that I referred. But if I am ever in the UK I am hunting Jimbo and WifeofJimbo (though I don't think either actively post here much anymore.) down to hang out with. But I will arrange it before the visit.
I thought it might be a cool thing to do some type of mylot convention somewhere. That would be neat, we could where name tags with are user names on it so everyone would know who everyone else is.

Yes you a cheater too LOL, that was meant as tongue in cheek, but total strangers that had become friends on MyLot. I haven't been here long enough to know Jimbo but have heard him fondly mentioned in some posts on here. Hope you do in fact get to meet up with him if you ever do come to UK. Ellie :D

I didn't. But I met person from different forum and we are good friends now. We used to talk for over one year before we met. It was fun related to online conversations and offline life.

Oh that must have been great, I know not through myLot but you did meet someone who you became friends with in real life. Thank you for sharing. I suppose after a year of interacting you do get a fair idea of what the person will be like in advance, but to meet and still get on in offline life is fantanstic. Ellie :D

hi ellie, i only meet my referrals on mylot but havent experienced meeting mylot friends unless they will come to korea..

Yes Korea is a long way away, especially from UK, but one never knows. I didn't even get to meet the person who referred me and I thanked them when I first joined but never got a response. Oh well, I share with the people that do respond now and have made many new frineds since being here which I am pleased about. Ellie :D

Hi Littleowl, yes it would be lovely and eagerly awaiting to hear from any that have, but it could even be us at some stage soon as I've booked one of those Sun holidays and ended up with Bognor Butlins in April which I don't think is too far from you so you never know eh! Its one of those four day midweek breaks, just myself my son and two friends from Surrey. Should be fun. Ellie :D

I have never met anyone from mylot except those who signed up under me which are close friends and relative anyway. I don't think I can meet up with them personally as I don't have the initiative and I'm just not a people person. For now I'm very satisfied socializing with everyone online here on myLot .

so far it nothing like that has ever happened to me until now.and i was really wanted to see some of my friends here in mylot but i think we were mountains apart,but i was still hoping to have some get together with fellow mylotters in the near future...

I haven't meet anyone face to face but i am going to met you through this site and this is good for us because we can find hardly who can speak in this language in my country but most of the people interested to join different jobs so it is very hard to meet them anyhow you have asked such a wonderful question for everyone.

hey i have not met a mylot friend but i have asked him to join me in another social networking site and i got his phone number and we are now chatting over phone what about you...
may be if i get mylot friends' msn or gmail or yahoo id i can talk to them over voice chat...

No i havent thought of it.I think you can make good friends thats why such thought came into your mind.But yes i would like to meet some body face to face who is a mylotter.
