When I was a preschool teacher at a Christian Daycare Center, we had singing circle everyday. Mostly Bible songs. A favorite was "Jesus Loves Me". However, one of the kids was getting upset. He said he was neither red, yellow, black or white. So I made up new words to take this into account: Jesus loves the little children, All the children of the world. Pink and brown and polka dot, Jesus loves us all alot. Jesus loves the little children of the world. Polka dot, you say? That takes into account my freckles! Have you ever altered or made up extra words to a favorite song?

That is very cute! It is important to find humor in things and enjoy yourself whenever you can.

I personally have not, but I know that my brother and his wife used to do that with their daughter all the time. Actually, they probably still do. I don't remember the exact words he used, but my brother changed Rock a bye baby to where the baby does not fall out of the tree.
