My mother went to a cherry blossom festival about two years ago and brought me a cherry blossom tree back. it was a very small tree (looked like a stick with just a very few leaves). we planted it and it has grown about 10 feet and tons of leaves everywhere but no blossoms in sight. i'm not sure if it is indeed a cherry blossom or not. should the tree have blooms by now?

If you do have a cherry tree, most begin to bloom at 2 years of age. The cherries come from fruitng spur branches so if you cut those of when you trim, you will have longer to wait. Do you know what kind of cherry tree this may be?
