Stolen Luggage

There was a news story out of Boston of a girl who with her parents went to spring training to see the Red Socks. She caught a ball and had several of the players sign it. She packed it in her luggage and it was gone when she got home from the airport. It reminded me of when my son was n Iraq and was coming home they were told that any valuables should be carried on to the plane and not packed in their checked luggage. It seems that many of the service men and women were having items taken from their luggage once they got to the states. The Airlines said it could not be their employees because the luggage was under video survailance all the time. TSA, airport security, said that the Union contract forbid the use of Video Cameras recording their workers. It was a privacy issue. It seems that the people who are there to protect us don't want us to know how they handle our luggage.

talk about a slap in the face for our returning soldiers!
i bet that poor little girl was heartbroken too. what jerks.
unfortunatly i dont find it surprising that the airport say its under survalliance but everybody else says its against contracts to video their workers. its the blame game with nobody doing anything to try and resolve the issue.
also makes me wonder WHY the Union contract specifically states the use of video cameras as forbidden??? if their workers are doing what they are supposed to be doing there shoudnt be a problem right?!
