First of all, to those who posted in my previous discussion, I did read through all the responses you gave me and I thank you all for that. Now to my question-What possesses one of you to give out your phone number to a guy? If I'm talking to you and the conversation goes like this-"Hey what do you say we go out sometime?" "Sure, we could maybe do that." "Alright, I'll give you a call and we can set something up. Oh, there's just one problem though...I don't have your number." You then give it to me. Now, if you were to do that, you must have felt some interest, some attraction in the guy, right? You don't do it just to be nice or out of sympathy, do you? (BTW, I'm not saying I'm a hideous looking monster, even though I sometimes around about being one.) Because there's no law that says you have to and besides...I don't like being jerked around like that. I like people to be upfront and tell it exactly how it is. You shouldn't worry about hurting a man's feelings. Just be honest and don't sugarcoat anything. So, what's the main determining factor?

I've never been asked for my number, but I would assume it would mean that you made a favourable impression and she at least wants to get to know you better.

I wonder the same thing myself since it seems like whenever I call a lady, they never answer the phone or or never return messages that I leave on their voicemail. If you do not want to talk to me, they should not give out their phone number. They could at least acknowledged that I called or something. I too would like to know why they give out phone numbers when they do not plan on picking up or calling back.
