Ravelry--A knitters site--Is there one like it for other other needle work?

I have recently heard about a site called Ravelry which sounds like a very cool site for knitters and crocheters that let your list what you have in your stash, post pics, look for patterns and connect with other knitters. I would love to find a site like that for cross-stitch, needlepoint and embroidery. Anyone know of one? Anyone out there use Ravelry? How do you like it? I am not a member since I don't knit or crochet, but I heard about it from some knitting friends.

I adore Ravelry, spend hours and hours on it. Whilst it was created for knitters and crocheters, a lot of people use it for other textile crafts so don't be put off joining. After all, you can list and discuss all your threads using just the same method as I list my wool and yarns!

I might just do that, especially since I am getting into Crocheting now.

I love Ravelry too, it's like a Facebook for knitters, crocheters, designers, spinners, dyers etc! I spend way too much time on it but I love that you can see lots of photos of projects to see how they turn out when non professional knitters make them!

I recently started cross stitching so I am going to join Ravelry as soon as I can. I am on the list!

Hi Aurone! Thanks for the great tip! I am a knitter and Ravelry sounds perfect! I am going to go check it out - now! Have you tried Craig's list or freecycle? Both of those sites have good stuff sometimes. Maybe you could even start a needlework site yourself! - ?
