Things we say to one another

Here are a list of negative things people say to one another, especially in a relationship. Are any of these familiar to you? I think I've heard every single one of them. LOL What did you do all day around here? What is your problem? No. I'm still thinking about it. Give me a break. You always... What did you say? Why didn't you... ? It's all your fault! I told you... You're just like your mother/father. Why is it always my fault? You never... You don't love me anymore. Is dinner ready yet? You don't listen. My way is the only way. And what have you been up to? I'm tired. Forget it. I don't care.

I think there might have been 3 statements listed that I didn't say. The rest of them I surely did use, especially with being a parent and all.

I have listed below the lines you typed that I guess I've tried before. hehehe.. This is fun. :) - What did you do all day around here? - What is your problem? - No. (I say this often to make everything short :D) - Give me a break. - I told you... - And what have you been up to? - I'm tired. - Forget it. - I don't care.

Well... you are not alone in this... Here is the male perspective - Why didn't you do this? - Why didn't you do that? - Stop watching TV and do this... - Get off the computer and do that... - You sit there and never do anything (besides working 8 hours a day to put a roof above my head). - We never go anywhere (perhaps because I am exhausted from working 8 hours a day). - You spend the whole weekend on the front of the tele and computer (I am recharging my batteries for Monday). - You are just like your father/mother - I don't trust you... - I went to check your emails... why are you talking to that woman on myLot? - Why do you buy Playboy magazines? Am I not good enough for you? - Why don't you love me anymore? - Why are you jealous? Don't you trust me? - Why are you not jealous? Don't you love me anymore? Sound familiar? Don't blame men... Women are just as bad... And most of it are a direct reaction to what you said or what he said. Lesson 1... stop reacting Lesson 2... stop nagging Lesson 3... stop whinging Lesson 4... respect his/her own individuality Just because you are married does not mean that you own him/her. You are still two single individuals who need their free space. Learn to respect that.

Well, personally, I have a good relationship with my partner in that we respect each other and avoid using such negative comments in front of our children. Only in some serious disagreements that we sometimes use disapproving language towards each other. However, I do hear other couples communicating that way. Maybe time and trials have taken a toll in their relationship. Or it may be just the character they both have, always bickering and arguing but are contented with each other, who knows.

Thats really good that you can refrain from being short with one another, especially if front of your children. It isn't always easy.
